Experience
I have previously worked as a counsellor for the well-respected YCS Counselling charity, as well as Cardiff University’s counselling and wellbeing service. These roles gave me excellent experience supporting a diverse range of clients with varied needs.
I also have significant experience of working with young people and teenagers. I previously worked as teacher for 10 years, specialising in supporting neurodiverse pupils aged 13 to 19.
Before teaching and counselling, I also worked with young people as an outdoor pursuits instructor, running courses in South Wales, as well as leading programmes in the Andes and Amazon regions of Bolivia and Peru.
Prior to this, I spent 8 years working in London and Washington DC as a climate change and development policy advisor and researcher. As well as my counselling qualifications, I have a degree from the London School of Economics (Hons) and an MSc from the Institute of Development Studies in Sussex (Dist).
In my free time, I enjoy getting into nature, hiking and cycling with friends. I’m also obsessed with open water swimming and will often be found at sunrise submerged in the murky waters of the Bristol Channel.
